What is Leadership Retreat?

Each year, S&S Society holds a Leadership Retreat at Drive Shack. It’s is an opportunity for you to grow your leadership skills and get motivated to lead effectively.

We take part in fun team-building activities where you have the opportunity get to know other students while problem solving. Students collaborate and are given the chance to present their solutions and practice their public speaking skills.

As a group, we strategize for our upcoming spring annual Day of Service. Many of the students leading projects for the event also choose to attend the retreat. If you are interested in leading a Day of Service project and would like to learn more and connect with other likeminded students, please join us in January for our upcoming retreat.

Last year, Sarah Criser Elwell, Chief Executive Officer of Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, was our guest speaker. Sarah graciously shared her involvement with leadership and gave us some inspirational tips on how to become better leaders. We are so fortunate that she was able to join us and we could learn from her experience!

You may be wondering why we chose Drive Shack for our annual leadership event.
